Mónica Riera graduated in Law from the Universitat de Barcelona in 1995.
In 1996, she joined the Bar Association of the Balearic Islands and subsequently joined the Barcelona Bar Association in 1999, continuing her professional work in the firm AUREN Abogados until 2001. In February 2002, she joined the firm IUS Estudio Jurídico, forming the team with which she has continued her career since they founded, in 2008, the firm Domínguez Ventura Asociados, now DVAA Abogadas, of which she is a partner.
Specialising in Civil and Health Law and member of the Health Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association, she has extensive experience in Courts.
She has taken part in numerous seminars, courses and congresses held by Bar Associations, medical societies and other entities related to the areas of her specialisation and has also intervened as a speaker at conferences on health legislation aimed at public and private hospital professionals, as well as procedural aspects for legal professionals. She has also collaborated in the drafting and review of hospital protocols, as well as in aspects affecting underaged patients.
All of this provides her with a broad view of the matters entrusted that results in a comprehensive advice given to her clients, in which she emphasises trust, honesty and the special sensitivity that the health and social sector of Law undoubtedly requires. A thorough study of cases and common sense, along with accessibility and empathy, are part of her way of understanding the practice of her profession.

Mireia Aznar graduated in law from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2000. After completing her career, she started working in IUS Estudio Jurídico where she was trained and specialised in Civil Liability and Health Law, forming the team with which she has continued her career since they founded, in 2008, the firm Domínguez Ventura Asociados, now DVAA Abogadas, of which she is a partner.
Since her beginnings in the profession, she felt attracted both by Civil Liability and Health Law, as well as by the practice of law in Courts, which is why she was specifically trained in Procedural Law and Civil Liability and Insurance. In her desire to learn every day and give her clients better advice and an argumentative basis for both legal and ethical dilemmas in the health professions, she completed the Master’s Degree in Bioethics and Law at the Universitat de Barcelona. She has also taken the ICAB Legal English Course at Advance Level and continues to be permanently trained and updated in the subjects of her specialty.
Her commitment to Health Law has led her to join various associations in this area and the Health Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association, a section of which she has also been a member of its Board.
Mireia is passionate about Law and human behaviour. So she connects and enjoys the humanistic part of medicine, biology and other disciplines in the field of health. She is demanding and perfectionist and for Mireia every new request for advice is a challenge that she takes on with enthusiasm.
Trust and honest communication with her clients is her natural way of working and the basis of their relationship.

Tanit Arroyo graduated in law from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2001. During her career, she combined her studies with a internship at the firm of Court Liaisons Opisso, and then shortly before graduating she began her professional stage in IUS Estudio Jurídico, where she was trained and specialised in Civil Liability and Health Law, forming the team with which she has continued her career since they founded, in 2008, Dominguez Ventura Asociados Abogados, now DVAA Abogadas, of which she is a partner.
In the course of her studies, she was already attracted by Insurance Law, Civil Liability and Health Law, taking different optional subjects in this regard.
Subsequently, also being attracted by Criminal Law, she took a specialisation course in the Youth Courts. Part of her professional work is also devoted to training of health professionals in medical-legal aspects, an activity that is quite a challenge in constantly updating knowledge.
Since her beginnings, when she was doing an internship in a Court Liaison firm, she was already particularly interested in practising Law before the Courts of Justice.
She is currently a member of the Health Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association.
Tanit, in her pursuit to offer reassurance to her clients, tries every day to transmit serenity and empathy, so she manages to support clients concerned asking for advice.
Proximity, warmness and human treatment in the legal advice she provides to her clients is one of the pillars on which she bases the practice of her profession.

Flàvia Cabré Román graduated in Law at Pompeu Fabra University in 2022, where she soon developed an interest in the Medical and Health Law electives. Throughout her degree, she had the opportunity to be part of law firms dedicated to Public Law, as well as in firms specialised in health and social care sectors.
In 2024 she completed the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, having carried out her curricular internship in the Legal Department of Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Afterwards, focusing on the social sector, she worked as a Senior Legal Technician at the Department of Social Rights of the Government of Catalonia.
Wishing to deepen her knowledge of bioethics, from 2023 to 2025 she completed the Master’s Degree in Law and Bioethics at the University of Barcelona, offered by the Observatory of Bioethics and Law. She is currently a member of the Barcelona Bar Association.
Since January 2025 she has been part of the DVAA team as a lawyer. In this role, she provides legal advice and support and is also responsible for defending clients’ rights before the courts.
In addition, she serves on Healthcare Ethics Committees as a legal advisor and is a member of the Health Law Section and the Civil Liability and Insurance Commission of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).
Flàvia’s aim is to transform legal and bioethical knowledge into a useful tool for people. She is committed to ensuring that the rights of patients, healthcare professionals and healthcare institutions are respected, and that clinical and organisational decisions are made on a solid and ethical legal basis.
